Located in Burnsville, the Garage is one of the few joints in town that offers teens a break from their parents' basements and also spares them the embarrassment of getting turned away from a 21+ show. Many Twin Cities venues have all-ages nights, but this place keeps it all ages, all the time. During the day the Garage serves as an after-school youth center, offering everything from homework help and Guitar Hero sessions to weightlifting and support groups. But at night the Garage transforms into a bona fide club (minus the booze) that helps promote the local music scene. On any given weekend night, the Garage will host four or five local bands, while charging only $5 or so for an entrance fee.
Bruno Silikowski
Former management consultant Bruno Silikowski built a "country club" for owners of vintage, classic, and high-performance cars in Chanhassen. It is a place to talk wheels, hang out, and—perhaps—take your car out for a high-speed spin.
