Evo 8 Icy Crash

A 30 car pile up in West Virginia as it happened
As is clear in the video, the primary accident's already occurred by the time the driver, Ishin Yamaha, arrives. There's a Chrysler minivan facing the wrong way in the corner of the shot and numerous cars just stopped.

Ferrari Pile up, Big Dollars

Japan's very expensive car crash has been in the news and it's causing
quite an eyebrow lift... and no wonder.  Time posted this
“I’ve never seen such a thing,” highway patrol lieutenant Eiichiro Kamitani told the AFP. “Ferraris rarely travel in such large numbers.” The speed limit on that stretch of road is 80 kilometers per hour, (50mph) and it’s thought that some of the vehicles were considerably in excess of that number.

According to officials, 14 exotic cars were "convoying" to Hiroshima (this is the Rubber Duck, we got us a convoy) when the accident occurred.  Ferrari's, Lamborghini and Mercedes all
represented in this extraordinary accident and in spite of the cost involved, there were no
serious injuries (physically speaking).  With millions of dollars in damage (some total losses)
you must admit, to have no real lives lost or disabled says something about the safety and
quality of each of these vehicles.  On the other hand, it just makes the rest of the competition
a little more valuable by reducing the number out there.

Smart Car?

The idea of the Smart Car is definitely economic, but how compact can you get?

Ouch!  An example of the simple law of gross tonnage....

Air Disaster, Humor

Amazing photo shows great detail.
The pilot, at low level, had no control over his aircraft and narrowly missed the crowd gathered for the air show, slamming into four buildings.
One can only imagine the horror of those in occupants.
