But the resilient rim was not new even then, the patent had already been submitted for horse cabs in 1870, and it is used today in Michelin's " Tweel "in heavy construction equipment.
This truck made by Turgan & Foy who really focused on service and production of railway carriages and cable cars helped to deliver the mail in France at the beginning of 1900's. They closed down production in 1906 and made no further impact.
