"The Cadillac SRX has been a runaway success for General Motors since it was redesigned last year, quickly becoming the best-selling vehicle in the growing compact luxury crossover class,” says Edmunds. “No doubt buyers have been attracted to its compelling, unmistakably Cadillac styling and lengthy list of available equipment. However, there are some significant issues with the 2011 Cadillac SRX that should give you pause before joining the masses."
Chief among the issues that should give you pause is outfitting the SRX -- many reviewers feel you have to go for the upper trims. The base engine disappoints many reviewers and some of the best features, like a power tailgate and rear-seat DVD system, aren’t available on the base model. These options add significantly to the SRX’s price.
