Race to the Fair 2011, Logsplitter in Wood

This was last year's 2nd place "LIfe's a Beach" 
We saw it at SEMA and it was fabulous.....


The amazing detail on this wood sculpture is lost in the photos.
I think even Abraham Lincoln would be proud of this representation.

I have no idea what kind of wood was used for the inlay, but it is magnificent

This amazing device is a real miracle in safety, wonder why it took so long?

Steve Gass is an avid woodworker (with a
doctorate in physics). While working in
his shop one day in 1999, Steve was
inspired to develop a new technology to
make a safer saw.
